Beauty Favorites of 2015

Hey girls,

I was supposed to post this article basically on the first days of January but my health issues and my lazyness didn’t let me, so enjoy it even if its a little later than planned.

Se supone que este post iba a estar listo para los primeros días de enero, pero mis problemas de salud (operación de apéndice) y mi gran flojera no me dejaron, así que disfrútenlo aunque sea más tarde que lo planeado. 
Some of them made it to the list just a few days ago, and you could ask yourself how I can consider them my favorite ones, well, I know they are that good that quickly.
So let’s start.
Algunos recién ingresaron a la lista hace unos pocos días. Se preguntaran como, con un poco de pruebas yo ya se que son mis favoritos. 
Comencemos. 
 
Fragances/Fragancias
One of my favorite scents this year was my Candy Florale from Prada. I’m already about to open bottle #2. I’ve always been the kind of girl that would try and try and keep getting different fragrances, that use barely a 1% of each of them, some a 10% and maybe even nothing from others, fun thing is that I actually like those fragances, but I love Candy that much more that it has been used a 99% as you can see in the picture below (I wish I had brought my new bottle for the pictures).
Una de mis fragancias favoritas de este año es Candy Floral de Prada. Estoy a punto de abrir mi segunda botella, ¿pueden creerlo? Siempre he sido el tipo de chica que podría comprar y comprar y probar y probar diferentes fragancias (aunque me gustasen) y usar un 0%, 1% o 10% de todas ellas. Pero Candy me ha gustado tanto que finalmente rompí la barrera del 10% y podría decir que estoy en un 99% de uso de mi primera botella, como pueden ver en la foto. (Me hubiera encantado traer la botella nueva para las fotos)

 

Lips/Labios
My savior for dry lips has been my Chanel Le Lift Lèvres et Contours. I can feel it acting a few seconds after putting it up on my lips. It makes them soft, with a continous use they are not dry anymore and they also feel a little bit plumped and alive when using it. It was kind of expensive but totally worth the money at least in my opinion.
El producto salvador para mis labios continuamente resecos y llenos de heridas ha sido mi Chanel Le Lift Lèvres et Contours. Puedo sentir como actua unos segundos después de aplicarlo, los deja suaves, con un uso totalmente continuo la resequedad desaparece y también cuando lo usas,  hace sentir tus labios un poco plumped y vivos. Fue una inversión en belleza cara, pero por los resultados vale totalmente la pena.
New new favorite lipstick this year has to be Mac Matte Honeylove 35. I must admit that I’ve never been the kind of girl who wears that much lipstick, especially, because every time I wear it, my parents love telling me that I look like a clown, but I’ve been using this lipstick every day, to the point that I’m afraid I’ll need a new one soon. And sadly apparently in my country Macs Matte lipsticks are in danger of extintion, the little few times I go and ask for one, they never have one, ever. I bought mine in Bogota’s airport when I was flying back to Lima in October, must admit that even if I love traveling, it’s not gonna happen that often, and traveling for a lipstick isn’t a nice idea either. These last few days I’ve been using my new MAC lipliner Subculture with this lipstick and they look just great.
Mi labial favorito del año ha sido el Matte Honeylove 35 de Mac. Debo admitir que en general no he sido de las que usaban mucho labial en general pero este lo uso todos los días al punto que ya me preocupa que se me acabe, porque aquí en Lima los labiales Matte de Mac están en peligro de extinción creo, cada vez que voy a preguntar por alguno, no tienen ninguno. El mío lo compre en el aeropuerto de Bogotá, Colombia antes de regresar a Lima, y esto de los viajes aunque me encanta no es que me sea tan factible siempre. Con este labial, va mi nuevo perfilador de labios Subculture, también de Mac.  

 

 

Eyes/Ojos
For the bags under my eyes I basically just got me two new MAC products and a bit of advice to hide them and I’ll share it with you. First you use a darker than your skin concealer, in my case it’s been a Watchmaster Concealer #6, to put on that area, this darker color will so to say it, hide that horrendous and dark circles, apply it with your fingers or concealer brush. And then use a highlighter, applying it with your fingertips to make the color even and finally hide the dark circles and bags. It works guys, I tried 3 different combinations for this trick and this was the one that I liked the most. By the way, the highlighter I got was Prep+Prime Highlighter Bright Forecast.
Para mis horribles ojeras, porque si que son horribles, me acabo de conseguir dos productos de Mac que se han vuelto de por si ya en mis favoritos. También tengo un pequeño truco para taparlas con estos productos que aprendi cuando los compre. Luego de probar diferentes combinaciones de productos para este truco, me quede finalmente con el Watchmaster Concealer #6 y el Prep+Prime Highlighter Bright Forecast. Bueno el truco es utilizar un concealer más oscuro que el color de tu piel sobre tus ojeras para que este las tape, y no importa si se broncean en verano, porque cuando usen el highlighter en el siguiente paso, para que el color este parejo con tu piel y tus ojeras hayan desaparecido o al menos estén bien escondidas. Bueno obviamente el siguiente paso es usar el highlighter sobre el concealer oscuro y difuminarlo por decirlo de alguna manera con los dedos para que el color quede totalmente parejo con el de tu piel y como dije, le digas chau por mientras a tus horribles ojeras. 

 

My new favorite eyeliner has to be Mac Superslick Liquid Eye Liner in the color On the Hunt. I has a very thin brush that I’m loving, because I have to admit that I hate doing uneven lines with thicker brushes and ending with half the eye full of eyeliner.
Mi eyeliner favorito es nuevo y es de Mac: Superslick Liquid Eye Liner en el color On the Hunt. Tiene una brochita muy delgada que pinta una línea igual de delgada que me encanta. Yo odio tener brochas gruesas y equivocarme y al final por emparejarlo, tener la mita del ojo lleno de eyeliner. 

 

 

My favorite mascara has been for a 2nd year in a row I think, YSL Shocking #1. Makes them look as if they are faux lashes, when they are not.
Mi mascara (rimel) favorito es y creo que ya por segundo año consecutivo Shocking en el color #1 de YSL (Yves Saint Laurent). Hace que se vean como si fueran falsas cuando en verdad son solo mis pestañas naturales con rimel. 

 

I almost forgot about the brow game, ever since I started using my Makeup Revolution Bulletproof Palette Extra Dark to Black my face and my makeup has change drastically. I feel that it makes me look better.
Casi me olvido de las cejas, desde que comencé a usar mi Revolution Bulletproof Palette Extra Dark to Black, mi cara y mi maquillaje han mejorado considerablemente, definitivamente me hacen ver mejor.  

 

 

Face/Cara
I love my Mac Prep+Prime Fix+. I use it as a primer and also for fixating my makeup and sometimes just refreshing myself and the makeup.
Amo mi Prep+Prime Fix+ de Mac. Lo uso como un primer, un fijador de maquillaje y también para refrescarme a mi y a mi maquillaje de vez en cuando. 

 

Another of my favorite products and that I feel it has revolutionized my vague make up techniques, learnt and improved by Youtube has been my Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette. I just feel it’s perfecto for my needs.
Otro de mis productos favoritos y que siento que ha revolucionado mis medio vagas técnicas de maquillaje aprendidas y mejoradas por Youtube ha sido mi paleta de Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour. Siento que es perfecta para mis necesidades. 

 

 

Nails/Uñas
During 2015 my favorite mani/pedi color was white, and even if I never really new which color they actually used in my nails at the saloon, I just got OPI’s Alpine Snow nail lacquer so it will be my best friend during this new year.
Este año mi color favorito para las uñas ha sido el blanco, y aunque nunca supe el color especifico que me ponían cuando iba a la peluquería y pedía mi mani blanca, he comprado este esmalte en el color Alpine Snow de OPI para que sea mi compañero fiel este nuevo año. 

 

Hair/Pelo 
Even if I have natural curly hair, I love to have it straighten, and on the few times I use my hair au natural, my to go product is my Curvaceous Full Swirl from Redken. Lets the curls totally looking good and very manageable.
A pesar de tener el pelo rizado naturalmente, amo tenerlo alaciado y las pocas veces que me lo dejo au natural, el producto perfecto es el Curvaceous Full Swirl de Redken.  Deja mis rulitos/ondas totalmente manejables.

 

This is a new product I got, and it’s really good. It’s Redken One United with 25 benefits. Perfect for like everything and good for the summer. 
Este nuevo y excelente producto se llama One United con 25 beneficios de Redken. Perfecto para todo y especialmente para el verano.
